The Demolition
What a difference 3 weeks can make. Remodeling a house is a stressful process and nothing like building a new house. The demo was painful and as of right now things look worse instead of better. However, I can see the finished project in my mind and it is fabulous. I heard through the grapevine that it was said we bought a "piece of trash" house. I seriously love that, it only makes that picture in my mind more rewarding. Here are a few pics of the process. SO MUCH FUN!!!
First day of demo, cabinets first |
Corbin had to get in on the action. Totally felt like we should have a crew from HGTV here, haha. |
Jackson finds more time for play than work. |
Dumpster beginning of day 1 |
Dumpster end of day 1. It has been emptied and filled again. |
Kitchen cabinets removed. |
Living room w/ sliding doors and cabinets removed. |
A small portion of what the tree guy has piled up. |
Best carpenters EVER fixing our door situation. |
Me dreaming of what will be:) |
Corbin watching his daddy repair rotten wood. |
New french doors and no more rotten deck and pool. |
No longer a hole in the floor. |
when you are done, the sign entering the driveway should read 'Welcome to the Trash House' What a fabulous adventure. Like I said before, there are no two people more suited to do this.It is going to be beautiful when done.I can see this being your 'forever' house.
